ok man i'm about 99.99 percent sure you have missmatched gears. my bro bought his truck about 3 months ago with the same problem. you can either do it yourself or take it in to a gear shop to check. we just put his up on blocks and counted rotations.

For sure, could have done this quick check in less time than it would have taken to read this whole thread!

Didn't know about the counting when it was last jacked up, don't have anywhere to do it now. I'm having some body work done on the rear fenders before winter, might crawl under it while that's happening and check for the ratio colors. Going to england in 2 weeks so I can't start anything that won't be finished before that.

Body Damage is Cool
DUDE!!!! just jack up one tire and turn it!!!! ITS NOT THAT HARD!!!

AHAHTAHAHAAAAAAAAAAA.....

Sorry must have gotten of the wrong side of the bed this morning...

But seriously... I did it in my parents front driveway and it took me a whopping 5 mins.

Just get the hubs locked, jack up one tire and turn it. Start with the air valve on the tire staight up and mark the driveshaft with some white chalk or something. It only takes a few mins!!!

First thing I thought was mismatched gears. I'm now quite sure of it. I can go 50 in 4lo and well over 90 in 4hi. Never a problem. It shouldn't do that.

I can't work on the truck in my parking lot. I broke this rule all the time at my old apartment, but my GF works for the co. that owns and runs our new place (can you say... discount! ) we're buddies with the ladies that would witness it, so I only stretch the rule by doing interior stuff and some very quick outside stuff. Jacking it up would be obvious "work" unlike installing my intermittent wipers inside. I will eventually do this somewhere, hopefully sooner than later. Need this done before snow.
