I've searched with no luck (so far) for a repair manual for my 2000 Rodeo. Haynes apparently hasn't torn down one of these frames yet, and I'm at a loss, besides the Isuzu manual, for alternatives. Help!

Hey Scott, I have been looking for the 99 version without luck. Haynes only make up to 1997.. Chiltons says its not available online check the local resellers.. I checked their publisher 'dellmar' but they dont list an isuzu title.

As far as I understand, they won't release a Haynes manual until there is a new body style for the truck. At least that's what it was for my RX-7.

DId you try the search feature? IT's a very useful tool. That being said, HELM makes manuals for the later model trucks. They're available on CD or printed. www.helminc.comhth, Dave PS. Welcome to the board.

Go with the Helm post David Chang put up. They are the same manuals that the Isuzu dealerships use. Yeah, they are $75 bucks, but you dont have to look through fourteen other trucks to find info on YOUR truck and they are way more accurate!!!

I have the helm manual already!! it has more information then I will probably ever need but it doesnt have.. hmm..... any directions..
I looked throught the haynes and chiltons for earlier years and they were more along the lines of how to do perform a task etc.. does that make sense?

I suspect the Helm manuals are more for people who KNOW how to do what they want to do, they just need to know part locations, designations, etc.
I had a Haynes manual for my old vehicle, and it was very helpful about what it DID contain, but I found it lacking in a couple areas.
My "immediate" need for a manual is actually a pair:
1 - My front windshield washer has ceased working. The rear works fine, and both front and rear wipers work fine, but I get no spray from my front washers. I suspect either a connection is loose/broked in the wiring, or the pump itself is shot. I just am not really solid on how to GET to the washer reservoir/pump, as it's inside the right front fender. I could take a screw out there, a bolt there, and hope that the fender comes off and, more importantly, goes back on securely, but I'd feel more comfortable with a decent set of instructions on disassembly.
2 - The tailgate key-lock is loose in the tailgate. The lock still works, it stays attached to the tailgate, but it flops around when I use the keyless entry - I took the gate apart and it looks like there's a clip or washer-type thing missing from the inside of the tailgate skin to hold the cylinder in place. What I'll probably do is call Merlin and see if he can hook me up.
Whew - enough babbling - thanks for all the input so far!

Scott, real easy to diagnos the wiper fluid pump.
Open your hood, turn the key to on and then try the pump. If you hear it, it works. If not, well....
If it works, then pull the hoses from your nozels on the hood, then hit the pump again. If nothing comes out, either keep pulling the hoses apart till you get to fluid or back to the fluid tank. Also check the pump/tank filter.
If fluid does come out, then the nozels need to be cleaned out.
Either way, I would clean out the tank filter and the nozels just to be safe. One of those little things that get overlooked until its too late!
