I just drove 10 hours round trip to see a '93 Trooper RS in Atlanta .
For anyone interested (since they are so rare), here is what I found:

'93 Isuzu Trooper RS two-door 5-speed

A bright red RS with a fairly straight body, may have been a slight impact on frt right bumper. Grey leather interior in "fair" condition.A/C blows cold. Seats were very comfortable. The truck has 176,000 miles on it, and the interior isn't "ragged", but I would call it "average wear". It has a 3.2l DOHC (hence my prior thread titled "3.2 DOHC owners" ) that runs strong. I took the truck to a shop and had a quick, non-computer diagnostic run on it. Oil leaks frt and rear seals, seen despite efforts by the dealer to pressure-wash away the evidence. There is some "slop" in the steering. There appears to be a problem with the front differential. With the tires off, we couldn't get frt end to engage and the rt frt was seized (the major reason I didn't drive it home, that plus the fact that the mechanics said "DO NOT BUY THIS TRUCK!")

What a bummer! I drove all this way for this!

One bit of good news: I saw that the engine compartment had the "G80" designation meaning the truck has limited slip in the rear. We checked, and this was indeed the case (turned one wheel, other turned in the same direction).

The guy really wants to sell the truck, for obvious reasons. His asking price is $6k, but he'd take half that, or less. He offered to pay me to repair the front end WITH a warranty. I declined, mostly because I came to realize my '86 is a better, more roomy vehicle for me. I'm tired of looking. I'm keeping my '86 and swapping the tired old 2.3 for a 2.6.

for anyone interested in a project, the truck is at the Car Zone in Austell, GA. (770) 739-5817
VIN is JACDH57W0P7901953
