I heard GM/Isuzu is cutting two cylinders off the Duramax and making a 90 deg V6. I guess for light trucks and SUVs. Still to big for cars.

I got to wondering, how do you convert a diesel to propane? Do you need to add spark plugs, or does propane work in the diesel combustion cycle without major changes?

Truckin Mag did a Propane install a year ago. I don't remember the article well but I think it installed almost like a NOS setup. The only problem was that you needed a special tank made to fit under the truck or use a BBQ tank which does not hold as much.
Cheers,
Con
------------------
2001 Trooper LS 4x4 Stock for now.

I've seen plenty of propane conversions around here (ranch/farm country) but his was the first I've seen with both the propane AND turbo upgrade. Propane conversions are add on kits. The full diesel fuel system remains in place and functioning.
Someone above said it best "kind of like a NOS system for diesels."
