To convert that into "American" divide 335 NM by 1.356.
Still though, 261 lbs is nothing to snear at!

Okay, one last post, it has rear leaf springs and rear drums. That would account for part of the cost difference between this and a 110.

That helps the price. It's also completely possible that at 20g's it doesn't pass emissions or saftey regulations - which is why (to my recolection) they never started selling the ARO with the Toyota V6 or Ford V6 (they switched the sourcing somewhere along the way) in the US. I believe alot of what was missing was creature comforts. Vynal seats ect. One of my brother's friends (nothing like a direct source) aparently saw one in Florida and said the build quality was questionable, rattly doors and what not. For some history, check: http://www.4x44u.com/pub/k2/am4x44u/truck_tech/4x_trucks/aro24.htmMaybe it'll happen this time, but then again, maybe isuzu will import a diesel trooper with a front solid axle. I'll hope, but I wouldn't hold my breath. Heath

Really would like to see a 4X4 along this line in the US. Like was mentioned above alot of the cost is in all the "standard" features that are infesting vehicles these days. The cost to build a good "BASIC" 4X4 really wouldn't be that high. Start adding power/heated seats, power windows, power door lock, A/C, Power mirrows, rear window defog/wipers, ABS, SRS, GPS, keyless entry, TOD/shift-on-the-fly,multi-disc CD, backup sensors, carpet, sound proofing, 8 different colors, 3 different interiors, tilt steering wheel, cruise control, aux power points, intermittant wipers, 15 cup holders, 4 wheel disc brakes. 10 interior lights, power sun roof, remote hood release. There goes the price.

Gee Guys, If we could find a decient source of Turbo Diesel Engines (ISUZU ARE YOU LISTNING?) for our 1st Gen Troopers, They would look just like that. Naw! They're not hearing us. I'd dump all my 1st Gen Trooper projects and buy one as soon as it hits the Dealers Showroom. Seriously, That is exackly the direction I'm headed with my 3 Troopers.(Yea, I bought another one.) A V 6 Auto This time. <img border="0" title="" alt="[Big Grin]" src="images/icons/grin.gif" /> Melissa is getting shiftless on me! CJ I just Called the # listed and talked to the receptionest. I left a message for the Rep named Chris to call me back with the details. Will post as soon as I hear back from him. The site says it will be here the 4th quarter of 2002. So, it looks like they'd better get cracking.Pearland 5719 Broadway Stree Pearland, TX 77581 281-997-5100

This is translated by google from a Brazilian page on the crosslander:
The front suspension is independent with transversal arms and helical springs and the back has rigid axle with beams of springs of double period of training. The load capacity is of 565 kg In November will pass to be mounted picape CL-330, with load capacity for 1.300 kg, another one that enters in the fight of the space left for the Bandeirante.
So Solid rear but IFS front. Still nice looking SUV:)
