Hey Curtis, you miss one point: Isuzu cannot
just take these parts of the shelf and sell
them to us. If this would happend, they would
need to go thru the huge number of various safety
commisions and standards boards. It is not that
easy. And it is simply impossible with old truck
design. As far as I know, each car/truck in USA
must conform to the multiple goverment standarts.
Plus, each car/truck must conform to multiple
additional not-so-formal standarts - otherwise
Isuzu would be killed by multiple law suits from
customers. I am sorry but it looks like impossible
to return to the market with an old truck.
We are lucky enough becouse we live in USA
and we can keep, at least, our old cars and
trucks. In some parts of the world you would be
FORCED by a goverment to retire your old
truck/car after, say, 3 or 5 years of ownership.
So, do not complain about absence of the 'new old'
trucks - at least we can keep just 'old' ones
(and we can buy them second hand, also).
Best regards,
Oleg

Isuzu Hello!! why don't you make something like that and get back in the 4x4 market!! anyone notice that when they made rugged utility trucks back in the 80s there sales were the highest they have ever been. Its time they go back to the basics just like this company has.

Ain't it the truth Eric. I swear that thing looks like a 1st gen Trooper with an updated 2.8 TD powerplant. Now if we could just convince Isuzu to let us have the parts and pieces they already have on the shelf before they leave the U.S.! Couldn't we have the best of everything. Who needs heated cup holders and lighted vanity mirrors on the the sun visors. That crap they could leave off and give us lockers instead.
Looks like somebody is going to make some money off of Isuzus short sightedness. Or is that GM's fault?
