Guys,

How high (and safe) a lift can I get by cranking my torsion bars without upsetting the current(stock, non-power) steering configuration on my 86 Trooper?

I measured from the midpoint of hub of the wheel to the lip of the fender and both sides are at 18 in.

I'd like to know the max height so I can set it at that level and base the rear lift I intend to do on that height and even things out.

I will be changing rear springs and shackles soon anyway so I might as well get a little lift when I do so.
