Body Damage is Cool
I like driving my trooper on the street. It actually rides better than the ifs. I get a tiny bit of brake induced bump steer, but it isn't bad or dangerous. It leans a lot more in the turns than it used to, but you learn to trust it. The worst part is knowing that your burning off expensive rubber on the street.
On a second gen troop I think the fzj80 front axle and basic suspension would be very cool, and it should drive like a stocker. As soon as I can pry my '95 away from my wife I want to install a 80 series axle in it.

1987 trooper LS.'94 3.2, SAS,35's , lots of dents and rust. Now, improved, with more dents.
1995 trooper LS. Wife won't let me improve this one.
1996 trooper. I'll need something to modify when the '87 finally rusts away.

My Rodeo is still my daily driver and i've been driving it SAS'd since March. Tire wear and gas mileage are bad. She does lean a lot in corners, but as Chad said you get used to it. It can also be tiresome to get in/out of on a daily basis (my rockers are at my waist).

There's also the constant tuning/tweaking/fixing that is even more magnified by SAS and you end up spending a lot of time doing work to keep your truck on the street.

And of course, while you're doing the SAS, you've got down time... i had about 3-4 weeks. Luckily a friend let me borrow a ride.

All and all, i don't mind DD'ing my Rodeo, but for finicial reasons, i'm looking for something else to drive on the street, possibly a tow rig to get me to Moab next year.
