I like driving my trooper on the street. It actually rides better than the ifs. I get a tiny bit of brake induced bump steer, but it isn't bad or dangerous. It leans a lot more in the turns than it used to, but you learn to trust it. The worst part is knowing that your burning off expensive rubber on the street.
On a second gen troop I think the fzj80 front axle and basic suspension would be very cool, and it should drive like a stocker. As soon as I can pry my '95 away from my wife I want to install a 80 series axle in it.


1987 trooper LS.'94 3.2, SAS,35's , lots of dents and rust. Now, improved, with more dents.
1995 trooper LS. Wife won't let me improve this one.
1996 trooper. I'll need something to modify when the '87 finally rusts away.
