Fiend, you need to take whatever you have (orders, certificates) to the VA and request a DD 215. It basically takes an act of congress but it does eventually happen. To keep it four wheeling related I have heard that you have a much better chance of succesfully completing this procedure if you drive an Isuzu, that's locked both front and rear.

Hmmm... Well, my hats off to those of you who've served... And to those of you youngins thinking about doing it, my advice is do it while you're still young... I tried but wasn't allowed in because of screws in my knee -- but this is only because I tried to enlist at the ripe old age of 26... Had I enlisted earlier, the screws wouldn't have been there...

I tried too. Right out of HS and JROTC, i went to the recruiter. Scored very high on my ASVAB and wanted to fly BAD. got thru most of the paperwork, and went to my physical. Was told i have flat feet and that was the end of that. I tried to argue that pilots don't have to run...

Now i'm fat and blind and wouldn't be trusted to fly anything faster that the Goodyear Zeppelin.

It sucks too...as a kid I was flying ultra lights for fun like kids do now with quads. I guess that is what i get for living near cornfields.

Better late than never...

3 years active Army Cavalry Scout (HMMWV's and Motorcycles).
8 more years Nat. Guard in Scout and Infantry units.
Went inactive after I made E-7 due to conflicts with my civilian career.
I can't say I miss it, I made the most of it and had fun with it at the time.
Then I was selected by the Air Force to go in as a Captain (Pharmacist) but turned it down when they offered up Montgomery AL as a duty station. (No offense to Montgomerians)

Now my Isuzu Rodeo has drafted me into Active Duty taking care of its mid-life crisis.

3 years US Army. Trained as a medic, so naturally they made me a mailman. My last year and a half was as an ER tech in Hanau, Germany. Fortunately, I'm too old to be called back to go kick bin Laden... or is it Saddam, now, butt. No regrets, got my first taste of 'wheeling there
