<strong>After reading lots of interesting info on past issues with alternators, I wanted a litte confirmation. My brother just repalaced his Alt with an autozone rebuild (96 Rodeo). Following the replacement, battery, 4x4, and another (dont remember)dash light are on. The Rodeo is running, but from what I have read I'm just waiting for alt to completely die or screw up something else.
Is factory/Oem the only true fix for this. Let us know <img border="0" title="" alt="[Confused]" src="images/icons/confused.gif" />

I bet that third one was the brake indicator light, wasn't it?
And how do I know? --- Well... Tonight, while returning home from a long trip, all three of mine came on too, but then they soon went back off again.
Miss Kathy and I were still about 45-minutes from home when it happened. --- We'd made it almost all of the way back before I noticed something else... I asked her if she thought the headlights were alternating between dim and bright. --- At first she said it was just me, but soon after, she agreed that they really were sort of flickering.
At the time, with only a couple of miles left to go, the voltmeter was fine, however, this didn't last much longer.
We were about a mile from home (after traveling about 300 to 350-miles today) when the voltmeter suddenly dropped to 12-volts. --- At the same time, all three of those dash-warning lights came back on, and the headlights dimmed to about 50% brightness.
We made it home, but now I guess I'm looking at having to replace my alternator... and it's not like we haven't already charged-up a veritable fortune in the last few months, all of it in the name of repairing this XXXXXXX thing.
Between this and the tire problem I'm having (split belts/completely un-balanceable), I'm actually beginning to worry if I'm gonna make it to Uwharrie. <img border="0" title="" alt="[Eek!]" src="images/icons/shocked.gif" />
YES... I know... I should be thankful that we made it all of the way home, but this really sucks guano! --- I swear; try as I might, it's like I just can't ever seem to stay ahead of all of the repairs anymore! <img border="0" title="" alt="[Mad]" src="images/icons/mad.gif" />

A junkyard alternator, huh? --- THANKS! --- I'll have to look into that possibility.
But let's assume that I can't find one... I already know how much Isuzu thinks of theirs (Read as: $$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$ !!!), so are there any other viable options?
I'm really sorry for re-hashing this thoroughly covered ground, but even using the search feature, for the life of me, I just can't seem to find the links that I'm hunting. --- Any help at all would be greatly appreciated!
TIA
