In regards to the NTSB statistic, it was a unfair test. That's a whole nother thread that I'm not even going to get into.

Alot of people with 2nd generation rodeo's have been happy with suspension firming by getting the Old Man Emu coil springs and shocks.

I myself like the Rancho 9000 shocks though.

For what you want, I think the Old Man Emu coils and shocks would be the best.

Just a suggestion from a poor college student, but if it were me, I would start with whats cheap and simple to replace and work my way out from there. Start off with the poly- sway bar bushings as they are relatively cheap and simple to replace and if things aren't "in control" enough for you, then do shocks, and then maybe get new springs if the shocks aren't enough either. The OME coils for the Rodeo/Amigo give a Rodeo 1.5" - 2" of lift, which really isn't all that noticeable heigth wise, but the difference in the ride quality of these springs is astonishing. Just my .02

Justin

I would concur with the above author on this as I have the coils he is speaking of. Did wonders for my "tail" wag in and out of corners.
