If you have a 4-wire plug, you can just pick up a plastic 3M tape backed wire router and clip it up behind the bumper when not in use, or take a spare trailer plug (we all have those laying around from re'wire jobs don't we?) and firmly attach it to the back of the bumper and just plug into it when not in use - get rid of the wires coming out of course. If you use the big plugs, you might just have to pull out the hole saw and make a mounting hole. 3/16 construction aught not to be that compromised by a hole like that. Just my .02.
