Here's me missing my 2 front teeth.
Do we have a timeframe for completion? Was it 2 months or something? Maybe by then the boss will have cooled off.

Gee, randii, i can sure appreciate the dilemma that you, MW, DC, CP et al pondered to arrive at the new "group whatever" policy. The tail o' this deal is wagging and whacking folks left and right.
Yeah -- good to see it the bumpers in production, but it definitely underlines the intent of the policy.

When is the 8 weeks start, and when are the credit cards going to be charged. Just thinking about it.

I called calmini the other day and they said that I was the first to call to "confirm my order with the shipping charge". I guess they want to hear from everyone about the shipping. BTW, mine (to central TX) is $145. I went by a trailer/bumper installation place by me, but they wouldn't let me ship to them.
How do I lessen the shipping cost, besides driving to Bakersfield?

It's just a guess but I'd try an RV repair and service place. They're used to unusual requests.
Offer them a ten spot for their troubles. Praise and flattery always works well too

Okay. I called several places that deal in bumpers and trailers, etc, but none of them would let me ship to them. Just for grins, I called Calmini and had them get an estimate for shipping if I were to have it shipped to a store near me and the price was $105, compared to $145 to my door. So, I think I'll let them deliver it to my door.
The timing will actually be pretty good. My birthday is in late august and I'll tell my wife she can get the bumper for my b-day. Then I'll fill her in on the part about having already ordered it (so she doesn't have to hassle with it).

Hey Just ask them to hold at the terminal and you go and pick it up it can't be more than 30 mins from any major City. I have them hold stuff for me all the time. Just tell them to hold at the dock, but ask what terminal it will be shipping to. OK Well good deal with the bumpers I have other things to do before I jump in.

Now for the latest. I called Calmini (they are very helpful, BTW) and David told me to call Roadway to find out the cost. When I spoke to the lady at the Roadway terminal here in Austin, she said that it would be $43 less to have it held there and to pick it up myself. Nuff said.
Thanks for the advice, Erick.
