Its a 1990 Montero, it should have a Cruise Control! I mention that because I recently retrofit a cruise control onto my 1989 Dodge Raider from a 1991 Montero and found that I had to disconnect the old throttle cable, and replace it with both of the new ones that are part of the Cuise Control Servo.

Well, the first time I started the Raider after the installation, it roared up to 3200 RMP's in park. As it turns out I had to adjust the tension setting on the throttle cable between the throttle body, and the cruise control servo.

I hope this helps.
