Do you have too much oil in it?

If you are sure the pcv is good, make sure the hose isn't stopped up with goo. Ask me how I know that one!

PCV is clear, no blockage.

Oil level is good, however it is very dirty.

*I highly suggest you do a compression check on all 4 cylinders. Hopefully I'm wrong on this one, but you will more than likey find one cylinder well below standard 125-175 PSI. Dont ask me how I know this one. Pulled my hood off sunday to get all the oil from under the ribs...looks really nice. Will look good while off the truck next week while Im doing "other" things. well i just did a compresion test and cylinder #2 is only getting 30 to 50 psi.... its not the rings, cause i tried oil in the cylinder, so its down to valves or head gasket....the head gasket was replaced recently but i dont know how good of a job was down, the oil is mirky looking but i dont know if it is coolant or exhaust... is there a way i can tell, any help would be greatly appreciated

First of all Mirky...if you mean milky than its moisture in the oil, coolant-rain water something. Think of oil going in fresh...all golden and shiny. Look at your oil, does it resemble grey or white vs. new golden brown?

About the "its not the rings" diagnosis...you may be surprised. What was the wet compression results on #2? In comparison, how did #1,3 and #4 compare? I recently experienced an engine that ran fine but had a "noise" that was deafening that quickly went away. Compression check revealed 145,145, 145, 60. Wet test brought the low cylinder up to 100#. Diagnosis, ring land broke...if not the #2 compression ring itself. Only way to tell where its going is to do a leak down. Pump about 30 PSI into the cylinder and listen. If it comes out the exhuast-ex valve, if it comes out T-body-intake valve, if it comes out radiator...cracked head or failed head gasket. If it comes out the oil cap...Engines coming apart soon. The high pressure in your oil pan pushing the dipstick out is enough for me to decides which it'll be. Good luck on your diagnosis and repair. ~Darin

The oil is pretty much how you described it, milky. Also found some in the fuel injection, must be coming back through pcv.

Pumped some air into the cylinder that was low and heard it coming out the radiator, but nothing coming out the valves. Sounds like the head gasket. Thanks for the advice, much appreciated.
