Vehicle: 1987,22RE,5spd,130 k miles
I've replaced the Auxilary Air Valve as suggested (even though my old one checked out within the OHM spec and visual inspection).
I also replaced/checked the following items:
Cold Start Injector OHM tests in spec.
Cold Start Injector Time Switch replaced.
Temp Sensor located directly next to the CSI time switch replaced.
TPS adjusted within spec.
MAF sensor tests within spec.
EGR cleaned & operational.
VSV switch checked & operational.
No vaccum leaks.
Coil tests within spec (primary and secondary).
New distributor (air gap is verified within spec)
New Bosch O2 sensor.
Engine timing set to 5 degrees 'jumped'.
Engine runs/starts on first crank when warm.
Battery voltage when cold = 12.5 volts
Alternator charging within spec & battery is taking charge.
Throttle body and intake plenum are clean and free of carbon deposits.
Coolant level is full and mixed accordingly.
No 'check engine' light has triggered.
Timing chain was completed 500 miles ago w/ parts from ENGNBLDR.com
Do the temp sensors located in the thermostat housing or the lower intake manifold affect the functionality of the cold start circuitry at all?
I really am checking everything by the book here and have nearly gone blind reading all the posts on the forum <img border="0" title="" alt="[Smile]" src="images/icons/smile.gif" /> What am I missing here ?!?!
Any technical input would be greatly appreciated.
