Thanks very much for posting those pics! And now I want a spoiler even more!! Can you find out how much from your supplier? Are they glue on or bolt on?

What happened to that Monty that has the crunched passenger side? Ouch!

My main question is, even with 33s I stalled alot in snow ,when I lived in year around snow back in Colorado, how do you guys turn those meats without lower gears? I know your not fighting altitude, but even at lower altitudes Monteros stall alot with 33s when rockcrawling. I am getting a custom t/case, and desperately looking for 5:29 ring and pinons, but just wonder how you guys do it?


1996 SR From the Area 51 Skunk Works. 37"BFG Tires, 5" lift, Rock Track 4:1 Case, Tom Woods Drive Shafts, Oasis Air, Front ARB, lifted gas tank, T-max winch and lots of stuff that cost too much.

Lloyd,

My guess is the diesels have way better torque numbers and they probably don't care about how long it takes to get to speed.

My wife was at the wheel and got out unharmed. It was a good car but the green one we bought to replace it is even better!

I'm trying to find out about the spoilers.

Lack of power is rarely a problem, and on the road the difference isn?t that big. You get used to it in a few days.

Dont get me wrong Lloyd, I am not doubting you one bit, but its not like I wheel little ant hills all day. I havent stalled the thing once in almost a year and a half of wheeling.

Uhwarrie, Paragon, GWNF. All would have stalled me with my 33's no??? But it never happened.

Can you describe this stall. Maybe my heavy foot just keeps the revs up? Who knows...

did u find out anything about the spoiler and where we can get it from, i might want those flares too, but the ones that dont connect to the side steps, just in case i need to take them off. thanx, angelo

Lloyd- I need some info on this "stalling" also. Since its pretty easy to stall a stick- obviously-I'm assuming that you're talking about stalling an Auto on the rocks. How does an Auto Stall?? <img border="0" title="" alt="[Confused]" src="images/icons/confused.gif" />
I'm not questioning the truth of this, just the reasons behind it, and how it happens. <img border="0" title="" alt="[Embarrassed]" src="images/icons/blush.gif" />

I noticed on that in this photo of your new Pajero, Konni, that it has an inclinomter as well as a compass. Is this standard? I don't think that the inclinometers were put in any Monteros in the US after 1991.
