You got the good box, gear drive, 21 spline, I think fwd shift. Top shift, forward shift, does not matter, both can be made to work with a double tcase, retaining the forward shift or converting it as you please. The rear case must be top shift. It just means (fwd shift) you have long shift rails that go into the tranny tailpiece, where the shifter is placed. They can be converted, but no need. Consider a fwd shift front box retaining your current shifting arrangement, then a top shift rear box. Work fine last long time.
