<strong>Check out your gear/tranny code on your door jam. Just in case you don't know where it is, check out this picture. I have the gearcode circled. The tranny code would be right next to the gearcode. In this picture, the tranny code it W56. I'd be interested if on your truck it is R150, W56 or some other code. Let us know.

The non-neutral T-case was specific to ADD models. That's why some 22RE 4X4s from '89-'95 got a different tranny (G58) than the standard W56 found behind most 22REs. The G58 tranny came with a chain driven T-case and were installed on '89-'95 Toyotas 4X4s that that had the 22RE and ADD.
Where your truck might be different, is that I think most V-6 trucks came with ADD. But I'm guessing yours did not. I'll bet you have manual hubs. Your set up is already unusual in the fact that you have 4.30 diff gears and yet a manual tranny. The 4.30 gears are usually reserved for automatics with the smaller 225/75R-15 tires. And speaking of that, I assume original tires on your truck were 225/75R-15? If so, then your gear ratio may really be 4.10, or if it really is 4.30, then you must have some sort of rare tow package. Do you have a factory or dealer installed hitch or wiring?
If it is possible to have a neutral in a factory chain driven T-case, then the likely explaination is that Toyota just installed neutrals in T-cases without ADD as indicated by my owner's manual. On the other hand, if neutral were not possible in a chain driven T-case, then I assume, you must somehow have a gear driven T-case.
Have you confirmed that you have a chain driven T-case by the number of bolts on the back of the T-case?
