Also, the T-100 uses unique gearing compared to the compact trucks. The gear ratios available for the later model T-100s, which I assume you have since you have the 3.4, is 3.91, 4.10 and 4.30. The 4.30 being available for the auto tranny like yours.

It's interesting to note that the first T-100s, that came with the 3.0 V-6 got much different gear ratios. They 4.56, 4.70 and a whopping 4.90 as available ratios. Very rare gears I'm sure, but because the rear is a Tacoma style diff and the front a pre-Tacoma style diff, the gears aren't easily swappable into a compact truck.
