<strong>Ok, VIN number is on the metal plate on the lower door jam. Axle/gear codes are under the hood. Here's what mine says:

OK, so if I read this correctly I have 4:10 gears and a 2 pinion carrier? I though all V6 toys had the 4 pinion?

What else can you decifer from these codes, besides the R150F tranny?</strong></font><hr /></blockquote><font size="2" face="Verdana, Tahoma, Arial, Helv, Helvetica, Sans">Just like you said, G292, means 4.10 gears 2 pinion carrier. You may still "actually" have a 4 pinion carrier since you have the V-6. Count the number of fins on the side the 3rd member, if I remember correctly 4 means V-6 4 pinion carrier and 3 means 2 pinion 4 cylinder carrier.

R150 is the transmission of course, the V-6 type. YOu likely have a chain driven T-case to go along with that tranny.

8D8 is the paint code. JF11, if I remember correctly, is the trim code. However, I can't decypher that one.
