Gen 1 Heater fan resistor.
MB272517 was about 30 dollars when I bought one about a year ago.

Bought a new switch at the same time also from the dealer, when I find that number i'll post it up as well.

*edit*
Could we get this stickied to keep it up top? Mabey it will help reduce the number of "what is this part number" question <img src="/forums/images/graemlins/smile.gif" alt="" />

95-96 3.0 24V SOHC timing pulleys need to be ordered aftermarket as 3.5 DOHC.

For Gen II 3.0 24V SOHC motors, there is mixed/wrong data out in the aftermarket. With my 95's 180k service, I ordered a pulley kit for the timing belt change from the local store. The kit only comprised a tensioner puller, and it was the wrong one. This was a Dayco product and looking at other places online brought up the same number.

Wondering what was up I launched CAPS and compared the Mitsu numbers between the three motors- 3.0 24V SOHC, 3.5 DOHC, and 3.0 12V. My 3.0 24V SOHC needs the same pulleys as the 3.5 DOHC. What I got was for the 3.0 12V.

Not sure what other parts may be similarly afflicted. I do know that when ordering other such parts in the future, I will be sure to cross reference between the three motors.

Electronic compass light bulb for '95 SR/Gen 2
MB898179
Bulb, Console
Mitsubishi dealer part
Twist the light bulb's base counter-clockwise to remove after removing center guage cluster hood, removing cluster from dash, removing screws that hold cluster's plastic screen and removing wiring harness hold-down screws.

Bulb is specialty because of its base and because it has a plastic cap over it to alter the output color.

Cost should be around $2. Compass is not visible in daylight or at night if the bulb is burned out. Compass has to be recalibrated after reinstallation. Consult owner's manual.
