I can't exactly recall the reason I went and purchased the heavier weight. I think it had to do with the temperature climate here in Western Oregon. But I made that desicion a while back ago. Anyway to answer your question about how it is working, around town it has worked great. Better then great acutally, it relieved the shaking and the vibrations that was felt through the driveline. Now its quite and there is absolutely no noise or vibrations coming through the drive line. I'm pretty sure that the old differential fluid didn't have the friction modifier in it, and that is probably why the differential was making noise and vibrating in the first place. But it works great now, really smooth. I'm so impressed. I can't say enough about it. So far, besides finding the pen blocking my defrosting vent, this has been the one modification or part of the maintenance that has had the best results. They were instant. As soon as I put it in I felt a really big difference. I can't believe all of the little things I've done to it to make it run better. It is almost a whole new truck from when I purchased it last October.

This weekend is the real test, tonight I will be driving my Raider with the new fluid in it for 4 hours non stop to get to eastern Washington state. Then on Sunday I will be driving back agian 4 hours non stop. So I'll have a better report for you on Monday. I'll post the results on the other thread: 3.0 Raider - LSD oil change (pics)

Suprisingly, there has been a lot of people on the message board doing the diff fluid lately. So, I'm sure a lot of you who have read these similar posts here on this message board will realize that I've been linking to my thread every chance I get. I just can't say enough about how well it has worked for me.

Like I said, so far - 1 weeks worth of city driving it has been really great! I will post on Monday about the performance on the 500 mile round trip I will be taking this weekend in the other thread.
