My son joined the Army after 9/11 and I very much support him.http://www.merseyworld.com/imagine/lyrics/imagine.htm

Even if you are against THIS war, we still need to back out troops who are out there putting their ass on the line so you even have a country to protest in...

Dennis Miller's 10 things to consider with Iraq war...

1. Between Saddam Hussein and George Bush, Hussein is the bad guy.

2. If you happen to have faith in the United Nations to do the right thing, keep this in mind; They have Libia heading the committee on Human Rights and Iraq is heading the global disarmament committee.

3. If you use Google search and type in ''French Military Victories'' your reply will be ''did you mean French Military Defeats?''

4. If your only anti-war slogan is ''No War For Oil'' sue your school district for allowing you to slip through the cracks and robbing you of the education you deserved.

5. Saddam Hussein and bin Laden will not seek United Nations approval before they try to kill us.

6. Despite common belief, Martin Sheen is not the President, he plays one on TV.

7. Even if you are anti-war, you are still an infidel and bin Laden wants you dead too.

8. If you believe in a vast right wing conspiracy but not in the dangers that Hussein possesses, quit hanging out with the Dell Computer dude.

9. We are not trying to liberate them. (Howard disagreed with this one and Robin said perhaps it was a typo)

10. Whether you are for military action or against it, our young men and women overseas are fighting for us to defend our right to speak out. We all need to support them without reservation.

Craig, point well taken...I was refering to matters directly in relation to the current situation. It wasn't the IRA or any other group that attacked our Country. I understand that there are are many religious/ethnic groups involved in world wide terrorism.

However, even your comment about Indonesia points out the fact that the majority of muslims can't distinguish between "cause and effect." They simply hate our freedoms, our power, and they are extremely jealous of our position in the world.

Bad people will breed more bad people. I have YET to see a SINGLE Muslim group here in the States condemn the violence committed against us in the name of their god. And yet they are the first to complain about "profiling" or percieved discrimination.

These groups openly hate this Country, while at the same time take full advantage of our freedoms and prosperity.

Until I have convincing evidence to the contrary, I will continue to hold the belief that our problems are with the religion of Islam, and it's fanatics.

(btw: I'm not a Jew, or a member of any organized religion- I just call it like I see it)

To Michael S. Dean:

You made very valid points that no one seems to be able to counter intelligently but let it be a lesson to you that the flamer style of dialogue frequently attributed to liberals only turns off your audience and in turn turns off your message.

I signed up for the Marines in Aug. '90 and after I graduated High school I was on Parris Island in June of '91. I did not see Iraq that time. I got out in '95, I really have been tossing the idea around that I would like to be more involved doing something.
I see these posts and comments on the TV about why Iraq? What about so and so country? Have we so quickly forgotten the days after 9/11. President Bush was more then clear. There will be a world wide effort to clean up ALL terrorists and ALL nations that house, train, supply and other wise support Terrorist. I say heck yes. Do we really want to live with cancerous Tumors and hope they don't kill us? Or do we want to remove them and suffer for a short time to live better in the long run? Just like tumors the best treatment is most often to go as aggressive as possible as soon as possible.
God speed to our brave men and women in uniform. Let's hope we will always have folks so willing to give so much. So that so many gutless sob's can exploit their right to speak out against them. I don't understand how it is that to so many, America is so bad, but they sure don't mind living it up here do they?

Have you looked in a mirror lately???

You can add another name to those you listed above, DEAN! Unfortunately, intolerance is as bad as ignorance.

If you don't agree with this war, fine! But go do something about it, get yourself elected (democratically), and make a contribution to what you you believe in. Don't spout meaningless words from the safety of your own little comfort zone.

To Bretwaldo: umm..well...it comes from the point of view of a real American, who served in the US Military. And who's father served in the US Military, and who's Grandfather served in the US Military.

I am a patriot who has had it up to HERE with you ignorant, little sh!ts who have never been taught the true meaning of the Constitution of the United States.

We are finally taking care of the business in which that impotant organization called the UN has been unwilling to take care of for 12 years.
