Perhaps this is old news, but I just read it over on another Montero Sport Forum: Just got this memo from ARB:
TO: All ARB Sales Staff and Distributors
FROM: Greg Milton
SUBJECT: RD110 Mitsubishi Front Air Locker
DATE: June 5th 2003
Please be advised that we have now committed our Air Locker engineering team to develop the Mitsubishi 28 spline Air Locker.
Initial production cannot yet be locked in but we are aiming for supplies to start flowing this calendar year.
As we have had a number of local and overseas enquiries for this application which up until now we have not been able to satisfy, we will be informing several Pajero club members of this decision. This is likely to initiate some enquiries and we are now able to accept orders for the RD110 as this differential will be known
Full application information is not yet known, however what we do know is that this new Locker will fit:- Pajero (Montero) 1991(NH) on petrol and diesel models except 3.0litre automatics. All Challenger (Montero Sport) models.
We also believe but have not yet fully confirmed that it will fit the Triton in most applications.
Pricing is identical to RD23.
As more information comes to light we will keep you informed.
Thanks and Kind Regards
Greg Milton National Sales and Operations Manager

Being new to all this mitsubishi stuff I must ask if this new locker will fit my '96 2.5Tdi LWB Pajero?

I believe so.
When they talk about the NH model Montero/Pajero's they are speaking of the 96 also, but to be sure you should contact them directly to ask.

I surely hope this happens! Having my front end locked with a selectable locker and not having to go digging through junk yards for starions or something else will be nice!
I'd gladly pay $600 for the locker and another $250 for install + compressor. Heck, I want on-board air anyways!
It seems the front axle is the same on not only the Montero Sport but also the Montero as well.
Everyone, shoot ARB an email asking for this!
