Now that the five-year warranty is just about up (800 miles to go) It's time to do something with this little beast. Yesterday I ordered the Eibach springs and should have them next week.

Right now I'm thinking a 31-inch mud tires so I'll have to shop around for a new set of rims. I think black rims will do nicely. A red boat with back propellers…yea…sounds good.

I'm also going with the high-tech retreads. The set I bought a year and a half ago (A/T's) for my son's Blazer have held up extremely well and I'm impressed with their performance on and off the road. Besides I really like the aggressive Grabber tread design they use.

I'll have to get pictures at the April 19th get together as I do some flexing on those land loving stick heads in Syracuse LOL!

Now if I can only find a white missle launcher

Joe, I tell you that is some patience as much as you wheel to wait that long to modify. The last quote I got on five 31x10.5 MT's from Hi-Tech was about $320 including shipping. I can't wait to see it once they are on. I was surprised now that I have the 31's that they are not really much bigger than the 235's. Maybe the Mickey Thompsons are a short tire, I guess I should actually get out the tape and see what the inflated diameter is.

[QB]Joe, I tell you that is some patience as much as you wheel to wait that long to modify.

It was worth the wait since I had my share of problems. But it was fun running stock and I received so many positive comments. It opened a lot of eyes

I'm looking forward to the lift now especially since every inch means a world of difference out there. More importantly It should raise the water line another 3 inches

Yea, that price looks good and would easily double for new tires. I'm impressed with them.

Today the she gets an oil change, got to fix the tire rack locking mechanism, and plug up those holes along the rails (used for the carpet tacks) to keep out the water.

Have to get some pics when she's done

If you want to run 31 inch tires the Eibach alone won't be enough lift. I have the Eibachs and spacers for 4 inches of lift and 31s will fit but just barely. Our spacers maker John Beynon is just waiting for more orders for spacers. If you want the spacers e-mail him at (moondah99@qwest.net) and let him know.

Yea, your right there I took a few measurements and it's going to be a tight fit so I'm going with 30" for now. Maybe later I'll go for the spacers. Thanks...

how can that be when i'm running 32's with 4" and have been running them when i had only 2" of suspension lift? i do have the 1.5" body lift, so that could be the answer, but don't know.

I can get them on but when the wheel travels upward I'll get rubbing during a turn. I thought I read somewhere somebody was running 31's with the Eiback?
Could be the tolerences from vehicle to vehicle?

I ordered the 30's today but they where out of stock so I took the 235's. The difference is .2".

While I'm at this a friend of mine had some extra diamond plate sheets laying around. Think I grab some of that and use two sheets to replace the skid plate. Wacked that thing back into shape twice already

Maraguez is running 31's. he had only the Eibach lift and he had no rubbing except on the swaybar, but he was running the stock alloy wheels too, which pull the sidewall in more than a 15x7. they also have more backspacing, pulling the entire tire/wheel inward under the vehicle more than running an aftermarket wheel would. i don't remember what you're running, but with the Eibach kit, you shouldn't have too much rubbing, if any. i had only slight rubbing on the swaybar when i had my 2" lift, but i was also running 30's when i only had the 1.5" body lift and no suspension lift and only rubbed once under harsh bottoming.

dave

ps- right now i can fit a 33 with no problem, but with anothe 1.5" of body lift i could run 35's, only problem is, i can't afford them, so i had to buy one tire at a time, so i had to stick with the same size, 32x11.5-15's. oh, well, maybe next time.
