later tonight, or tomorrow, I will post some pics of a 7MGTE swap I did last month. Took 24 hours total time, over a 2 week period. Could only work on it a little at a time. Lots of the time was spend goofing off. So in reality, probably 18 hours of real work. Wiring took me the longest because I had to draw up a schematic. Now that I have one, I know I can do my next one in 12 hours.

Anyway, it was a 92 2wd pickup. No special adapters, no welding. Used 5MGE mounts, and it bolted right up. Did have to use a hammer in a few spots, but nothing two serious. No changes to the xcrossmember, or driveline required.


It is better to make torque at high rpm than at low rpm, because you can take advtage of gearing.
