all this talk about which transmission will fit has me wondering if an R154 (tranny from a 7mgte turbo supra) would work.

so it would work if the output shaft of an R150F (tranny from a 3.0 3VZ v6) were swapped with the output shaft of the R154?

(i know that the R154 first gear ratio is only 3.25 compared to a first gear ratio of 4.31 of an R151F, but i would rather dissassemble a transmission than try and fab a bellhousing.)
