Many people consider the gas burner transmission marginal in durability. Four cylinder diesels are very hard on transmission due to the torgue pulses. I do not know anyone that has problems with the diesel transmission. With these thoughts in mind I doubt seriously many parts are interchanable. We could check a parts book.
