I am not a Isuzu Diesel expert but I believe the 2.2 L is the only TD Isuzu used on their Trooper. I think they used a 2.6 l in non turbo.
Have you looked at a VW TD for the Sammy? I saw one in one of the off road mags not long ago. (can't find that issue right now) I would think the VW parts will be easier to get than the 87 TD Isuzu Diesel. To few of them left.
You may be able to get a 2.8 TD imported from Aussie land but shipping cost may kill that idea.
I'm in the planning stages for a TD Diesel myself and just getting my research together.
I do have a Bud at Isuzu Corp Training who can help with specific questions.
Anything I can do to help, give me a shout. I'm learning too!
CJ

Thanks! Hey I see some old T-D, isuzu's out there. I'm keeping the toyota for awhile, at least untill I get it going I like the VW idea, they quit making the kit but there is a guy that made up some adapters on the sammy email list.

The full kit is offered by an outfit called Petroworks. Petroworks Page It looks like a pretty clean install. Just lurking over here and thought you'd like to know.
Rgds,
Kevin
