Add-a leaf questions? #223322 07/05/01 09:24 PM

I have a '93 T100 that has the stock leaf springs on it and I want to lift the rear a little to level it out, and I think the existing springs are getting weak. [Linked Image] I'm looking for add-a leafs, but the local 4x4 store doesn't have a listing. Where can I find the add-a leafs?
One more question. Did any of you have to replace your u-bolts for the springs? If so, what did you purchase? My current u-bolts for the leaf springs have about 3 threads showing and I know this is not enough for an add-a-leaf. I'm hoping to get about a 1 1/2 inch lift out of the add-a leaf. Thanks for any help.
Bill Reid
'93 T100 SR5 4x4

Body Damage is Cool
I am currently running AAL's on my 4WD '96 T. I needed to increase my load capacity and compensate for limp OEM leaf springs. The AAL's lifted the rear about an inch and gave me additional 500 lbs. of payload. The ride is just a little stiffer. I have sice added Air-Lift springs because the AAL's could not handle 2000 pounds in the bed alone. I hope to someday replace the AAL's and the OEM springs with a HD leaf pack, I will retain the Air-Lift springs - they are sweet. You can check out my web site for more information.
http://www.athenswater.com/1996_4WD_T100.htm
Sunrise,
Nice truck, I didn't know they made a Titan 4WD. In the picture on your website, is that showing the truck with the AAL's and the Air Lift System? It sure looks nice and level. i think I found somone local to purchase the AAL's from. He wants the business, where the other shop could care less from the moment I walked in the door. I want to raise mine for two reasons, first to level it out and second so that I can do a little wheeling in the GWNF.
I went earlier this year and had a blast with "little joe", Steve and Brian from the SUV board. I came away with a slight ding from the rear dragging. Joe said it would buff out, but it didn't. Thanks for the reply. If you get a chance check out the EC4RJ pictures, thats where we went. I missed that trip, mine was overheating.
