It is better to make torque at high rpm than at low rpm, because you can take advtage of gearing.

Disgusting.

Is the stock grille going to fit back on somehow, or has the intercooler completely negated it?

WOW That's all I can say is WOW
How much HP you think you got now?

I'm still broke, spent money on a hot tub

How much are you getting 7MGTE donors for? Thinking about building a mini

Looks mean.

For those of us that aren't familiar with hopping up the 7M-GTE, maybe you can tell us what components you need and the cost of each to get from 230 hp to 300 hp, 400 hp, etc. Acronyms like "PFC F-Con w/FCD" mean nothing to me. Thanks!

Actaully the grill will fit back on. I had to cut out part of it and glue it back togher slightly different, but unless you look close at it you won't be able to tell.

Well, I was hoping for around 375 RWHP, but I may have to sell my AFC and EVC, and get those at another time. I am trying to buy a house, and should not be spending money on this.

With this setup, including the AFC and EVC, Lexus AFM, and an additial injector, I can run 20+ psi. The EVC is a boost controller, used to increase boost. The AFC is an Air Flow Converter. It lets me adjust the amount of air my ECU can see. Add the additional injector and Lexus AFM, I get extra fuel and air, and use the AFC to adjust it properly. Now to monitor, I have a A/F meter, Pyrometer, and a Fuel pressure guage. With these guages, I can monitor my air/fuel ratio, exhaust temps, and fuel pressure. If any of those goes out of wack, you are heading for metldown, and time to let off the gas. This makes running high boost and 500+ crank power safe.

The F-Con and FCD are HK@$$ parts. I will not buy them. HK$ wants way too much for thier stuff and does not work as well. You pay for the name. Apexi is much much better. But the F-Con allows you to increase your injector duty cycle so you can get more fuel, and the FCD allows you to get above the 12 psi fuel cut mark. The lexas AFM and the additional injector takes care of that, but much much safer.

Motors I can get for $800 shipped to my door. There are various places in CA that sell them for that. Lately I have been using Go-motors.

Sorry, I have already given my old IC to my roomate for his truck.

So are these the Japan "low milage" used motors? Are you doing any rebuilding to them on your normal swaps for friends, or just putting in out of the box?

So I try to change the HG before I put them in.

What might one expect to pay for a Lexus AFM and larger injectors? And how about the Apexi EVC and other electronics you need for 350+ hp? (Hey, I think I have these turbo acronyms down!)

550cc inejectors w/clips - $550
Apexi EVC(not needed to achieve more boost) $350 used $550 new.

You can build your own boost controller for $25 out of parts from your local hardware store. Only problem, is that the higher the gear, the more boost you will get. So you won't get an even spread. With the EVC, it will remain constant across every gear, along with some very nice featers like in-cab adjustment.

In otherwords, it just requires $800 and a full exhaust to get your motor up to 400+hp.
