You should be able to tell by shining a flashlight up there and looking in between the fork. You could even take a piccie with yer digital camera set on macro. Cameras have a tendency to see things with the flash that yer eyeballs can't see especially if yer old... If the flash is too bright, put a small piece of a paper towel over the flash...;) Just don't run yer bare finger over that area...too easy to git cut! <img src="/forums/images/graemlins/frown.gif" alt="" />

If you truly want to be sure...I'd take it off and inspect it carefully.
