Hello again...this board sure has gotten busier since I last visited!
Refresher: I bought my 96 T100 in January '03 w/ 75k on the clock. It had a 75k service performed just prior to purchase...
Now, there's 80k dialed in, and I wanna do the oil. How much do I need to buy? What filter do I need? I searched through a few pages of old posts...looks like 5 qts. I'll be goin to O'Reilly's to get the stuff soon...any recommendations?
Thanks! shoe

Not to insult your intelligence, but dont' forget to lube the seal of new filter with a light coat of Motor oil, prior to putting it in.

Find something to put under the filter area to catch the spill-off when you unscrew the filter so oil doesn't run all over the place. One of the rear center caps wedges in underneath the filter seat perfectly.

Thanks for the info all!
What do you mean by "rear center cap"...are you talking about the center of one of the rear wheels? (just making sure)
Oil filter - what's wrong w/ the aftermarket ones? Fram, Wix, etc... I don't have a toyota dealer nearby, but an O'Reilly, Advanced, and some others up the street. If there is a difference, it's worth the drive though.

That's exactly what I mean, but I don't use my original wheels anymore either. That relative size and depth is what you're after.
Dealer filters are better, worth the drive or phone call to order a bunch.

OK...just ordered a case of filters from Brian at Conicelli Toyota ( http://www.partznet.com) for 48.25 shipped (42 + 6.25 shipping). That beats the 70+ here in town. He's throwing in a bag of gaskets too.

How many filters did you get for that price?
