One last - don't think you'll save time by not dropping the skidplate...even though you can dig in there easy enough without doing so. It's a much quicker job just tossing those four bolts out of the way.

did you mean to say that I'll save time "..by dropping.." the skidplate?

No, I meant to say what I wrote, double negative and all. <img border="0" title="" alt="[Razz]" src="images/icons/tongue.gif" /> You read it right. It's quicker to remove it.

hehe...cool. I'll keep that in mind and probably do that.

Looks like my filters were delivered today (according to tracking). I'll go buy the oil, and do the change tonight.

Why does the T100 have the oil filter upside down? I get it all over the place each time I change it. I used to change it with the skid plate on. I just changed my oil for the first time since I got my lift. With the lift I haven't bought or made a skid plate yet. It is so much easier to get the oil filter out, but it still drains while I unscrew it.

Is it upside down? (Opening to the bottom)

It's that way in the MR2 as well...Some folks use a nail to poke a hole through the top to allow some air in there to let it drain while still connected. Think that'll work on the T?

That might work. Sometimes I do the oil and get busy greasing or otherwise inspecting before I remove the filter. The extra drain time (30 minutes?) reduces mess some. Never tried the nail trick. Getting a cup under there is the surest way I've found to keep things tidy. I've also heard that breaking the seal then slipping a ziploc over the filter before loosening it helps reduce mess.

How about Jack Points?

Where to stick the jack to get it up...where to put the jack stands to hold it up? Obviously this could be done many ways...but if there's a "best way", I'd like to know....
