If you're using the little factory bottle jack (and you're not doing suspension or steering work), place it under the lower control arm; you'll see a nipple, about the size of a quarter... Fits right into the head on the bottle jack.

If you're using a floor jack, go for either the above or any portion of exposed frame... No real difference.

If you're using a highlift, go for the bumpers... (or your nerf bars if you have 'em)

Of course, best practice is to place it where it won't slip & squish you. <img border="0" alt="[Shiner]" title="" src="graemlins/shiner.gif" />
