The first time I did a brake job on my trooper I tried to compress the rears with a c-clamp. I thought the caliper was frozen. After I took the whole damn thing apart I checked the book and discovered that the piston had to be screwed in <img src="/forums/images/graemlins/shiner.gif" alt="" /> The book was not very clear.

I suppose they had a good reason for doing it that way, but it is definitely a trap for the unwary.
