Hi Randii,
When I first posted this question some time back, I wasn't sure. Now however, I AM sure as I've taken my Dakota bell down to the boneyard and physically fit it to the back of a 3.2L SOHC Isuzu V6. This I have seen with my own eyes (I'm pointing to my eyeballs now ) Will the bellhousing clear the starter? Don't know. Will it clear the exhaust manifolds? Don't know. Will it clear the flywheel? Don't know that either. I just know that both the Chevy 60 degree V6 bell and the Dakota bell bolt to the back of the Isuzu V6. As to why there's a dual bolt pattern? Don't know that either. Could be that the outer one is used by the Isuzu stick bellhousing in other applications in other countries while the inner one is used to bolt it up to the GM 4L30E autobox.

I'm just guessing. Anywho, I don't know why it is.. it just is... So, if you're a bettin' man, how about we put up a six pack of Heineken. I'm bettin' the 60 degree V6 bellhousing bolts right up to a SOHC and DOHC Isuzu V6 block. What'cha say?
