The Astrovan has the throttle linkage on the right (passenger) side of the tbi and is drilled for the throttle bracket. You can use your old throttle bracket or the Astrovan bracket. If you don't like the weird cable pulley cam on the 4.3, you can remove the larger 4.3 throttle butterflys, remove your old 2.8/3.1 throttle spindle, grind it to accept the larger 4.3 butterfly plates, reinsert the old spindle into the 4.3 throttle body and screw the 4.3 plates to your old spindle and retain your old throttle linkage. It is necessary to grind the mushroomed ends of the throttle butterfly screws, to unscrew them. I put threadlocker on the butterfly screws, after I screwed them onto the original spindle. It works!

Now I am even more confused...I have the '92 Rodeo which has the 3.1L Engine. I got a spare 3.1L from Joe D. and am trying to see if it makes sense to fit the 4.3 TBI on a 3.1L intake?
