My '99 has had some interesting problems as of late. The idle one day decided it would stay at 2k-2.5k rpms, and has not dropped since...two weeks ago. The car has been to a mechanic several times to no avail. He replaced the IAC, but still nothing. Once ain a while, while warm, the revs surge between 1.5k and 2k, but never the 800 it used to be.
Any tips would be appreciated, as it's embarresing to drive through parking lots with the engine revving, and this has got to be tough trying to slip the clutch to take off every time I stop. Please help.
