Does anyone have the actual scans of this TSB that print out readable and presentable to a dealer? Bob's site no longer shows them. I want to get mine done.
Thanks in advance!
d
------------------
1999 SuperCharged SR-5
My 4Runner!

Is this TSB done free at charge? Also, how long do you think it would take for the dealer to perform this TSB.
Thanks
Walt
------------------
99Supercharged 4Runner

Guys,
The reason I took it down was I got some heat from Toyota corporate. Thus, if you have any copies, do not post them on your site. I don't care what you do with them personally but I'd advise you not to post them on your site.
It makes me so angry to think that they want to keep this "confidential" b/c it points out to me how they implicitly try to keep their paying customers in the dark about service repairs. I wish some of those Lexus customer service folks would migrate over to Toyota's.
Ilocan: please do not post the TSB on your site. Also, what happened w/ me re the fix is that they asked to inspect to see if my 4runner actually had the problem (so stupid---why would I make it up?), order the parts, and then have me come in again for the actual repairs. So it really depends on if they have the parts in stock. The repair time is a few hours. Might as well schedule an oil change in there too.
Bob
[This message has been edited by bob_99SR5 (edited 04 June 2001).]

Well thats toyota being a but-hole again [Linked Image] [Linked Image]!! When I took my runner into the dealer for the same TSB I DEMANDED to see the TSB but was refused. But I didn't want to push it too hard because they were at least fixing the problem..
If it concerns their customers Toyota should not be whipes about it.

I called up Toyota after looking at the TSB again. (VERY lame they had a fit that you had it posted. Things like this ought to be public knoweldge). Anyhow, they wanted me to bring in the truck so I did. Told the guy what it was doing, he took my VIN then he left to go check on something and was gone for like 30 mins! Finally he came back, had me sign the service order and had a list of all the parts to order. They are going to call me back when they come in so I can drop it off. To get the circuit plate with my actual miles on it I will have to leave it over night so they can keep the truck idle while the company sends it with the correct mileage, supposedly sent via overnight mail. I did have to ask him specifically about this and then even show him the TSB where it specifies this for him to believe me and go check on it. Anyhow, we will see what happens. I asked him about a rental/loaner since it was going to be kept overnight and they will provide me with one free of charge. All the work/parts will be under warranty also.
Thanks for sending me those scans again Bob & ilocan!!
d
------------------
1999 SuperCharged SR-5
My 4Runner!
