Anway, I am using the A340E out of a 94 Supra Turbo, definatly can hold up to the power. Although I am a little concerned about the T-case holding up to 500+hp.

Hmmmm.....You will definitely need a tailhousing. You could probably buy a new one for 98+ 4Runner(same as my A340F) and then use Marlin's adapter. Marlin and I looked up the cost once(I think) and it was surprisingly low. The speed sensor would have to be swapped from your A340H. Marlin and I did that. It was the trickiest part of the swap.
Maybe the only real issue is the parking pawl. It was definitely different.
What's this 500+HP???? Are planning a Chevy BB or something? IMHO it will be way more than you'll ever need or use (but high in the coolness rating).
If you're that concerned about the Toy X-fer holding up, I would reconsider the trans entirely and look at a built 700R4/NP205 combo. Especially if you're going to a Chevy motor.
Phil
------------------
http://pjohnson.netgate.net
