SuperRunner,<P>I may have some bad news. I checked out my service manual on the A340E. It looks like the output shaft is longer than the A340F and H. The shaft goes further into the two-wheel drive tailhousing and has the speedometer gear on it. The speedo gear on the F and H is in the x-fer.<P>Have you opened the rear of the E trans yet?
