Every thing (tie rod ends, bearings etc..) all feel nice and tight. But while driving at around 25mph i get a little tire wobble. and at all speads i get like speed wobbles. So, i thought that i would adj my 9000 to the firmest setting, (usely they are at 1) the speed wables were not a bad, but had a tearble tire wable problem. When I look out the window while driving, i can see my tire moving a lot, back and forth. which in turn shakes the whole truck.
It never did this when i had the old steering on it. After this, i put a steering stablizer on, and it helped a little, but still shake a little, i also put the shock back down to 1, so the terable shaking is mimamal. but the wheel still shakes back and forth. Anybody have any ideas.

Worn out spring and shackle bushings is my guess. I had the same identical problems, getting worse over the last few months. Could not feel anything loose until I disconnected the u-bolts and was amazed how much play I had in the front leaf springs, downright scary. New set of poly bushings and the steering was solid as a rock.
I had been running poly bushings but they were 3 years old and were just worn out.

------------------
--
Roger Brown
4crawler@home.com
4Crawler Web page
