Body Damage is Cool
I'm using the ARB compressor. It is one of the slower of the serious compressors (excluding all the autoparts store cheapies.) Though it may take an extra minute or two over the fast compressors, it's a complete setup for the Locker. The only problem I've encountered with it is the tank seal works itself loose sometimes.

Getting the Wheeling Fever
I use a homebrew CO2 tank to run the ARB in the front of my 85 4Runner.
The only problem I've encountered is where to mount the tank. Anyone have any clever mounting locations or racks?
Allan

You have the rollbar in your 4Runner right?
Power Tank makes a bracket for a rollbar.
[Linked Image]
On their products page, they show the brackets, but it's not opening for me. I get an error message when I click on the rollbar bracket.
I have my Power Tank mounted on a custom built "mini" rollbar I had fabbed up by a local welder.
I bought the fire bottle bracket locally that fits the 10 lb Power Tank perfectly.
If I could do it over again, I should have just had the welder make me a full size rollbar like the 1st gen 4Runners have.
That way the Power Tank would be up in the air more, and my cargo box could have been built the full width of the back there instead of being smaller on account of the Power Tank sitting lower.
Yes, since you have the rollbar, I'd just get the big fire bottle bracket, and the rollbar mount, and mount it to your bar.
It would look killer
Corey

Used the old style ARB compressor since some time in 1995, and will be running the new Dana 60 front ARB I will be installing soon as well.
Never used it for airing up though, I always considered it dedicated for locker use.

Roll Me Over
I run the ARB compressor and for a while I also used it in conjunction with the Caddy compressors for airing up. I do not recommend it for airing up tires it is to slow and it overworks it. I just had to rebuild mine and it is only four years old. Cost me $30,00 with shipping for a new cylinder, piston & rings, rod & bearings, and some O-rings. I do no consider "serious compressors" mine is now for ARB use only.

David,
I was thinking about using a Caddy or Lincoln air compressor to run an ARB. Whatta' you think? I can't see spending the dough on an ARB compressor when the domestic ones will do just as good of a job. I plan on using it just to actuate the ARB, not for airing tires - Got a Powertank for that
