sounds like bull because it runs ok when cold.
I think it is something to do with the cold start injectors switching over to the warm state.
you also should reset the ecu by disconnecting the battery for a few minutes or pulling the ecu fuse for a few min. it is a smaller fuse near the center of the fuse box.
any smoke white, black when it is running like crap, do you smell gas comeing out of the exaust?

well i've pulled teh EFI fuse.. didn't seem to make any difference. and it doesn't ALWAYS run good cold only if it sits for like a day. like this morning it ran like crap cold. i'm so hurt. this came on out of the blue but durring my injector problems... maybe i got a bad injector?? but that doesn't make sense. that it runs good sometimes rarely but like crap all other times. when i drive it and park it.. than go to start it again , it will crank and crank and crank than i give it some gas and it starts, with a strong oder of gasoline. only white smoke in the morning which is condensation. which is perfectly normal.

thanks for the input

to test the injectors, let the truck warmup, after if starts to run badly, start pulling injector harnesses off, you should feel, see some diffrence in the way the truck runs. if one dosent respond the way the others do, bad injector. there is always the posibility that the pcm could be bad. the bad thing is that there is no way to test this. you just have to go through and test everything else, and if everything is sending the right signals to the pcm, but it is not responding properly, it is bad

Not sure what your Fuel Injector Problems or Fix was?

If you had removed them? I would re-verify to see if the Fuel Injector O-rings are not pinched (Verify that the Injector turns freely).

Did you replaced the O-Rings for all the fuel injectors (3 per injector)?

Did you lube the O-rings with fuel before you installed them?

A cracked or torn O-ring will give you a symptom of lack of power.

I just had mine Flowed and tested. I have 160,000 miles on my motor and the Fuel Injector O-rings were dry rotted and baked on the injectors.

Your injectors might not have a good seal on them?

On my Chevy cavalier I had a clogged cat. It would start up fine and would run fine unless I try to give it to much gas at one time. Then it would stumble and hesitate. Replaced the cat and the problem went away.

I also find that this web site is very helpful when diagnosing problems.

well the problem with my injectors where that they were leaking and after replacing teh o rings on them 3 times and it not fixing the problem i figured they where cracked.

so i replaced the driver side. than not a month later the pasenger side started to leak.. now those are underneath the intake penulum so to pull those plugs while running isn't an option.

i replaced the o ring on top lubed it with vasoline
replaced the gromet on the bottom on all

i ddin't replace the half circle cup think that teh injectors sit in.. didn't feel this to be necessary

thanks for your reply's

ok so here is the deal.

number 3 cylinder is the dead cylinder. it's getting too much gas. the injector is either stuck open or the computer is sending a signal to it telling it to remain open.

this injector is a new rebuilt injector.

my question now is how often have you heard of the computer sending the wrong signal to the injector. telling it to stay open. i'm thinking maybe the injector is just bad shooting a bad stream or stuck open. i put some injector cleaner in my truck to day with about half a tank of gas. if i were lucky it would fix the problem but seein as how its on the passenger side under the penulum i have no GOOD luck..

thanks for the help

Hmmmm... my camaro did the same thing when the catalytic convertor was clogged...

It was fine for the first five minutes... then it got to the point where it would hardly accelerate. First dealership assessed it as a transmission problem, and replaced my transmission (under warranty <img border="0" title="" alt="[Big Grin]" src="images/icons/grin.gif" /> ). Did it again, and brought it back and they called me 15 minutes later and said my cat was horribly clogged.

I didn't want to pay $250 for the dealer to put a new one in, so I limped it to a buddy's house, and cut a hole right in front of it. Ordered an off-road cat and a week later the car ran like a champ.

Ryno, try to switch the #3 injector to another cylinder, and see if the problem follows the injector or stays with the cylinder.

do you realize what a PITA it is to remove the intake penulum and get to the V6 injector racks.. but this is a good idea.. it will tell me if its the computer or the injector and i did dremel the driver side so i can get to it without removing the penulum..

i may just do that to check the injector.

good idea thanks
