An avatar is the picture under my name, right? If so, when I try to shrink one, it seems to grab just a corner of my pic instead of shrinking the whole thing. I'm not hip to picture editing, but this has to be a very basic move. Help would be appreciated!
Thanks,
Jason

Let me guess, your using MS paint? You need some better software than what comes with windows. email the pic to me and I can resize it for you if you'd like. afertig@cinci.rr.com

Hi AdamF
I'm guilty as charged. MS paint here. I zapped an email to you and I thank you! <img src="/forums/images/graemlins/cheers.gif" alt="" />

Paint will do what you want to do (at least the version that comes with XP). You just have to use the Image->Stretch/Skew and enter a percentage smaller than 100 to shrink it. You can then view your image size using the Image->Attributes. If you change the width and height in the Image->Attributes section, then all you're telling Paint to do is grab that specific portion of your image.

Could you hook me up, too? I can't get anything resized, except through montypics, and then all I see is montypics.
