Took my '02 Trooper with 32" Toyos (no lift yet...) out this past weekend to the AGR Wheeling Ranch in Nocona, TX. Lots of Jeeps, an early Bronco, a H2, and a couple of Toyota trucks. I was the only Isuzu, and they seemed surprised to see me there. I have my OME coils on order, but the skid plate on the gas tank worked great. I drove around the trails and climbed a few hills - one about 60 feet high. No problems - the LS rear is tight. I followed a group with the H2 and a stock Toyota 4WD pickup, and I was having an easier time climbing and navigating tight turns on the trail. They kept looking back, maybe in disbelief. It was greatness...

Check out the website : http://www.agrwheelinranch.com/index.htm$20 per vehicle + $5 for additional passengers. It had a few trails for the non-highly modified folks. I would like to find a place near Dallas that has miles of trails for stock and mildly modified rigs. I want to go check out Barnwell Mountain in East Texas soon. Maybe we can arrange a date for some Isuzus to meet there?

Count me in for a trip in E. Texas...it's about a 6-7 hr drive, but I'd come for an event. Planning on going to Colorado Zu Fest in August.

It is amazing how much articulation and how well the limited slip in "Bucket's" Trooper works. I was having to use quite a bit of skinny pedal in the wife's Montero Sport and he was just walking up things with no wheel spin.
Maybe one day Tera will have a 4:1 for our vehicles...seems Mitsubishi is the last car manuf. to get the "cool" stuff.
Had a GREAT time out at Barnwell Mtn. The trails out there have gotten significantly more difficult. Most all the 2 diamond trails are on par with just about any trail around Ouray/Telluride/Silverton. The 3+ diamond trails WILL require some sort of locking differential, either front or rear....or a winch or strap.
I think I had to take the strap once and another guy had to take it several times...but not once for the Trooper, it was fun watching how smooth it was.
