Had to replace jet type head on 87 Raider(2.6). Purchased new NON jet head head from Clearwater Cylinder Head. Having problems moving over fuel pump to non jet head. I was under the impression all exterior parts were interchangable. The fuel pump with spacer in place hangs up on the cylinder head bolt hole tower and the casting where the jet valve would go if it was a jet style head. If I need a new fuel pump to work with non jet head this does any body have idea what years/ makes used this non-jet head.
This board is a excellent source of Mitsu. that I used many times in the past . Keep up the good work!
Thanks BRMTDG 87 Raider 2.6 274K and still ticking

Should work fine. Loosen the head bolt and push the washer over to make room. If that fails, use Caravan fuel pump.

It's takes some skill to get it on there if the intake manifold is already installed, but I used the Raider pump on my non-jet head after playing with it's angle/position a bit. Try Eddy's suggestion -- though to tell you the truth, I have a Caravan pump down in the garage and I can't see that it would clear any better than the Raider pump.

That was quick reply. Head is new on the the bench. Went to bolt up fuel pump and used the spacer and the old fuel pump . The arm from the pump does not clear the "S" shaped bend( please pardon the techical jargon) between the cam bolt and where the jet valve would be located ,if it was a jet head.
Any guess what year Caravan fuel pump to try?
Thanks again for the prompt reply

Hey Guys thanks for the fast reply. I think I found it finally .The fuel pump arm was ever so slighty bent and was touching the casting hanging up the arm. A slight adjustment in the vise did the trick ..Pump arm contacts cam 360 degrees like it should... You guy were a big help. Brmtdg <img src="/forums/images/graemlins/smile.gif" alt="" />
